History

The atmosphere at the Golden Nugget is unlike anyplace else in the Midwest. It was designed and built in the tradition of the grand saloons of the California Gold Rush era. Completely decorated with the time period of antiques, the Nugget recreates a part of American history. The restaurant is surrounded by leaded glass chandeliers and many antiques from the old west. More items of interest include a 30 foot long wooden fish on the wall, a life size alligator, an authentic railroad Caboose that now houses the video games.
